The Cairns Private Hospital has celebrated its 60th year in 2011. This year has also seen the commencement of the operating theatre expansion. Due for completion in May 2012, this re-development will see a refurbished Day Surgery Unit and an additional 6th theatre commissioned. A 7th theatre will be commissioned as demand grows.

Our modern spacious 8 bed Coronary Care Unit has one allocated rapid cardiac assessment bed and has the advanced monitoring equipment and facilities to manage any acute care patient, in a comfortable private environment. With flexible hours in our state of the art Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, patients will not have to wait for their diagnostic or interventional procedures.
