What to bring?

  • Antenatal record
  • Comfortable clothes for day and night wear, suitable for breastfeeding. Dressing gown (optional)  
  • Nursing bra, nursing pads
  • Comfortable full brief underwear for each day
  • Adhesive absorbent sanitary pads
  • Personal toiletries, cosmetics, watch, pen, hairdryer, camera
  • Socks, mittens and beanie for baby in air conditioning.
  • Baby going home outfit and wrap
  • Regular medication
  • Special CDs/Aromatherapy oils
  • Clothing and toiletries for partner or support person who is planning to stay

Please ensure that you have a fully fitted child restraint secured in your car before taking the baby home. It is recommended that only an authorised fitting station fit any safety restraint.

What NOT to bring

We strongly advise you not to bring your valuables (for example jewellery or large sums of money) to hospital.  NB Items can be lodged in the hospital safe.
