Antenatal and Parenting Education

Our Antenatal and parenting classes are designed to assist you and your partner to gain the knowledge and confidence to be involved with decisions relating to your birth and care of your baby.

For all bookings call our Maternity Liaison Officer on: 4052 5280 Contact us early in your pregnancy (from 12 weeks gestation) to book into these classes during office hours between 9am-4pm, Monday to Friday.

Antenatal Classes (face-to-face)

Our aim is to assist you to make the transition to parenthood a positive one by preparing you for the changes in your lives.

Childbirth classes are also the ideal occasion to meet other couples and to develop a support network with others going through the same experiences. Each session is designed to cover a variety of topics from pregnancy and labour, through to baby care and parenting skills. Our classes are evidence- based and reviewed regularly to ensure that all information is current and accurate.

Classes are run by midwives who have many years of experience in both maternity care and education. They will give you the opportunity to ask questions and consider all your options in a relaxed and informal environment.

Bookings and more information

Please book the required classes as soon as possible to ensure your preferred placement by using the ‘Book a Class’ tab. Class numbers are restricted to maintain a personal and conducive teaching environment.

  • The cost of the classes includes educational material and light refreshments
  • During the all day workshop, morning tea, and lunch are provided
  • Receipts for your classes will be given following completion of your program
  • A refund for classes may be possible depending on your level of cover with your health fund. Please check with your health fund

Our Online antenatal classes will assist you and your partner to gain the knowledge and confidence to be involved with decisions relating to your birth and care of your baby from the comfort of your home. Our aim is to make the transition to parenthood a positive one by preparing you for the changes in your lives.
