Cairns Private Hospital specialises in the care and support of patients requiring infusion and cytotoxic therapies for chronic illness and cancer including:

• Chemotherapy & immunotherapy
• Iron infusions
• Blood transfusions
• Specialist drug infusions

Chemotherapy treatments and infusions are administered by our highly skilled, experienced nursing team, working closely with the treating specialist.

The nature of care provided goes beyond purely the administration of infusions. Our staff are committed to looking after each patient’s emotional wellbeing and comfort, and recognise that in some cases, treatment for Oncology and Haematology patients can be part of a long journey. Patients, family members and carers are treated as individuals in a highly personal, compassionate and caring manner.

The spacious 8 chair unit allows family and friends to accompany patients in a bright and relaxed atmosphere with the availability to watch television, listen to music or utilise personal devices.

The Unit operates from Monday to Friday from 7am to 3pm and bookings are by specialist referral and appointment only.

*Extended hours to 4pm or 5pm as required.

Free parking is available via the Abbott Street entrance carpark, in the dedicated Oncology Unit spaces.
