Dr Josh Tsai works at Cairns Private Hospital, in addition to his private consulting rooms at Cairns Cardiology with Dr Chin Lim.
Originally from Taiwan, Josh moved to Australia with his family at the age of 10 and completed his schooling in Australia. Dr Tsai completed his undergraduate training in Perth at the University of Western Australia in 2006.
Josh started his career at the Gold Coast Hospital, and has since worked in a number of Queensland hospitals including Ipswich, Princess Alexandra, Cairns and Townsville. During his previous time in Cairns Josh worked as a cardiology registrar and also as an outreach registrar servicing the many remote communities of the Far North Queensland.
Josh completed his cardiology advanced training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. He has an interest in structural heart disease, coronary artery disease and heart failure. He offers a wide range of cardiology services including transthoracic and trans esophageal echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms and diagnostic coronary angiograms.
Josh enjoys the relaxed atmosphere of Tropical North Queensland and is looking forward to making Cairns his home.
