Dr Nathan Brunott is a Queensland trained specialist general surgeon with interests in laparoscopic general surgery, trauma, endocrine and hernia surgery, but has a broad experience in all general surgical issues. He completed his postgraduate medical training at the University of Queensland in 2005 gaining a MBBS with Honours.
After completing his residency at the Royal Brisbane and Womens Hospital, Dr Brunott went on to complete his surgical training in General Surgery at the RBWH, Nambour Hospital, Noosa Hospital, and Cairns Base Hospital. He was admitted as a Fellow of the RACS in General Surgery in 2013.
Dr Brunott is trained in both open and laparoscopic surgery and also has accreditation for endoscopy and colonoscopy with the GESA/RACS conjoint committee. He is a member of General Surgeons Australia. Dr Brunott has interests in teaching upcoming medical trainees, residents and registrars, including mentoring these junior doctors in local research projects.

Dr Brunott shares his private practice with his wife, Dr Angela Robson, is also appointed as a part-time staff specialist at Cairns Hospital and regularly travels to the Tablelands on outreach clinics (both publicly and privately). He enjoys the outdoors, both on land & water, with his wife and 3 children.
