Dr Alice Chang is a Psychiatrist with advanced sub-specialty qualifications in Adult, Perinatal, Infant, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Offering a private psychiatry service at Edge Hill Clinic, Dr Chang also provides teleconferencing/ videoconferencing consultations to rural and remote areas.
Dr Chang currently serves on the executive board of the Faculty of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, and a number of national training accreditation committees. She was awarded the Young Queenslander of the Year and the Young Australian of the Year, and continues to work in international humanitarian aids. Dr Chang was the Cambridge University Bill Gates Scholar.

Assessment usually involves seeing the child and the parents individually and together, which often takes several sessions. Child Psychiatrists work collaboratively with the parents/carers, general practitioner, paediatrician, occupational therapist, psychologist, speech therapist and school guidance officer.
Consultation at Edge Hill Clinic is by appointment only. It is a non bulk-billing clinic and does not provide after-hours service. All urgent and medical emergencies should be directed to the Cairns Hospital.
