- Reflux and colic
- Maternal exhaustion/Anxiety
- Adjustment to parenting
- Establishing routines in feed, play and sleep
- Bonding with your infant
- Adjusting to transitions
- Self-care and supports
Mindfulness, yoga and infant massage sessions are also available.
An experienced, multi-disciplinary team is available to help as required, including:
- Registered Nurses/Enrolled Nurses

- Clinical Psychologists
The Cairns Early Parenting Centre is a family-inclusive unit and partners are encouraged to participate in the program, although only one parent can stay with your infant overnight.
Your infant is admitted as the patient. If they are covered by your health fund and Medicare, the hospital fee for this service should be covered by your private insurance. We will contact you prior to admission to discuss any out of pocket expenses. A self-funded rate is also available if you do not have private health insurance – see FAQs.
