Dr Suki Ahluwalia is a specialist Otolaryngologist - head and neck surgeon. Dr Ahluwalia is an English trained specialist who is also a Staff Specialist at Cairns Hospital. 

Dr Ahluwalia studied medicine at University College London and gained a Masters degree in Surgery at Imperial College London. He was awarded a place on the UK’s foremost, highly competitive specialist training program in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, in London.

Suki has had extensive training as a registrar under leading Professors in Otology, Rhinology and Sinus Surgery, Laryngology, Head and Neck Cancer surgery, Paediatric ENT and Facial Plastic Surgery, in particular Rhinoplasty. He was the President of the Otolaryngologists in Training and has written 18 peer reviewed scientific research papers and 3 book chapters. Suki also won the St Bartholomew’s and Royal London Hospital Temporal Bone Dissection prize.

In 2010 Suki was awarded and admitted to the Fellowship of The Royal College of Surgeons of England.

In 2012 Dr Ahluwalia won the Lionel College and Nan Blofeld prizes from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and then travelled to Australia to commence his fellowship training at the Princess Alexandra and Logan Hospitals. There he gained extensive experience in Head and Neck Cancer surgery as well as general and paediatric ENT training.

Dr Ahluwalia worked in Townsville before settling in Cairns. He has been working as a Staff Specialist at Cairns Hospital since the beginning of 2015 and also has an established private practice.

Suki’s numerous other interests include scuba diving, underwater photography and trying to play the guitar.
